Das alte Rathaus im Ortszentrum von Schifferstadt, ist eines der größten und ältesten pfälzischen Rathäuser. Das zweigeschossige Gebäude wurde 1558 erbaut. Leider sind die Namen der am Bau Beteiligten nicht bekannt.
Eine an der nördlichen Traufseite verlaufende überdeckte Freitreppe führt zum Obergeschoss. Die handwerkliche Ausführung macht das Schifferstadter Rathaus zu einem architektonischen Kleinod.
